Italy 2019 - Venice Day 12

After a lie in (so late, we missed breakfast - the holiday appears to have taken it out of us!), we walked around Venice for a bit before stopping for a pastry and coffee.

Then, we enjoyed our last gelato (sad times) and walked around some more. We like Venice a lot, but Florence is still our favourite city.

After that, we caught the water taxi to the airport, where we made the most of the free snacks and drinks with our lounge passes! In fact, we were enjoying it so much that we almost missed our flight! We went to the gate when they told us to, not realising that we’d had to go through passport control just before. We made it though!

We arrived back in the UK in the evening. Although we are sad that our holiday is over, we made sure we got the most out of it and had the time of our lives. Plus, we can’t wait to see our Diego again tomorrow morning (who hopefully isn’t too mad at us)! And to eat something other than carbs again!
